RIOT.. WE ARE ALL TIRED OF PLAYING A RANKED GAME AND HAVING SOMEONE AFK/DC...

MY SUGGESTION IS: IF SOMEONE IS AFK ... THERE SHOULD BE A BUTTON FOR THE AFKER ON THEIR PORTRAIT. THE GAME IS THEN FROZEN AND AFTER 5 MINUTES THAT PLAYER IS REMOVED AND SOMEONE FROM QUE SHOULD BE ADDED AND OR THE GAME IS ENDED NO LP REWARDED OR TAKEN AWAY... SAME FOR D/C ... THE GAME NEEDS TO BE F R O Z E N

THE REASON FOR THE FROZEN, IS BECAUSE THEN THE ENEMY TEAM HAS 1 EXTRA PLAYER MAKING GOLD.. TAKING FARM/JUNGLE FROM THE CRIPPLED TEAM... EVERYONE CLAIMS THIS IS A TEAM GAME THEN WHY ALLOW 4V5 IN RANKED????

YEAH... SOMETIMES A 4V5 WIN IS POSSIBLE... BUT THE GAME IS NO LONGER FUN... AND THE HARD WORK EACH PLAYER HAS PUT INTO THEIR LEAGUE RANK IS THEN WASTED WHENEVER THERE IS AN AFK/DC...

FIX... THIS... PROBLEM!!!! RIOT YOU HAVE SMART PEOPLE (OR SO WE THINK) ON THE DEVELOP TEAM... THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NO-BRAINER FIX YEARS AGO... THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ENDING A RANKED GAME IF A TEAM SUFFERS FROM AN AFK OR SOMEONE D/C.

Because people going afk or leaving might come back, or because winning 4 v 5 is possible (assuming it's not 2 afk's that happens to me a lot, or you were not already losing), ending the game would be just as annoying if not more so for some players. This is why you can surr with just 3 votes instead of 4, to compensate for someone not there, if team wants to stop, they can.

On the other hand, if you're losing and someone rage quits, saying that the loss is cancelled means that someone can just "quit for the team" everytime you're losing, it'll create a variety of unfair and unbalanced situations, from people quitting more often, to people quitting because they think their friend in their promo gets another shot.

That said, reducing the loss from an afk game seems fair enough (if they don't already???) and I think preventing demotions should be a standard. I had 15 games with 14 losses, 7 were afk games, 5 were trolls (people playing first time champs, insta locking and "mid or feed" mentalities =) I was demoted twice in one day, despite still maintaining positive stats for most of them. So I share you "enthusiasm" on a way to resolve this. Shouldn't lose so many points when you are screwed by other team mates, not easy with trolls, but when they afk it should be, and the typical demotion mechanism should be overruled by an afk team mate.

I feel the same about promo's but I understand why that might not change that for mentioned reasons. In short, something should be done, but it's not that simple, so be patient and keep bringing it up and hopefully something will happen

5 seasons now. 5 seasons and nothing has been done. Dota has a solution already, and though everyone will immediately say theirs is too simple and it's the wrong one, at least they've pretended to give a hoot about the problem.
