My League of Legends Experience (please read)

I know this is a common topic but I felt like discussing it, I am silver 3 (I know not too good XD) but recently I've been getting A LOT of bad manner issues with other players and I gotta say it gets me in a bad mood. Last game I thought it'd be a good idea to go Lee Sin mid and I even asked my team mates if it was cool but in the end I did pretty bad and a player started using profanity and abusing me verbally to make me upset. It makes me wanna stop playing for a while knowing others will criticize me for not playing good. So what, I suck at league but I wanna enjoy it! But sadly I can't all the time with the negativity flowing so much around this game. Because of these people I am starting to find myself not playing much. A lot of my friends including my girlfriend wanted to play but I do not want them being treated poorly so I told them not to. The community really changes a game Riot, maybe it's time to tweak things a little bit more. I know all games have this problems but I am writing this so for you out there reading this I can say this. Do not be that person verbally abusing, do not be the one hurting the others feelings. It never turns out good.

You're sending a good message but I think you're kicking a dead horse.

Flamers will always be a part of this game, rito tried with their honor system and stuff, but things don't seem to work even with the chat restriction system.

The best thing you can do is be supportive and positive whenever possible. It won't get rid of the abusive players, but it will spread. The more supported people feel in a community, the more inclined they are to support the community. You will get good games with kind people. Focus on those. Also, bring those friends of yours in. They can help. At the very least, they can lower the chance of having abusive people on your team.
