Champ Select Takes Way Too Long

I hope a riot member sees this, all I want to say is that the new champ select is awesome, but one major flaw. IT TAKES WAY TOO LONG. Me and my friend were both in a lobby and had to wait a good 30 minutes. Not for only one lobby but people kept dodging and with the new champ select we couldn't get into one game at least until 45 minutes later. What are your thoughts on this?

I feel like the 30 seconds we have to wait after everyone has picked should be reduced to 5

The whole "pick your champion you WANT to play" thing we have to do before the match even starts should be only like 10 seconds.

I also feel like 2 people should pick at the same time. Like how it used to be.

if you reduce the 30 seconds to 5 after everyone picks then there's no time to trade champs.

The first to pick now has alot of time and is fully prepared, while the last one is in wild rush just to make double sure everything is fine.

It'd put heavy strain and alot of complaints from unlucky people who were last to pick. Often teams change and suddenly you end up with "wrong" champion and you don't have time to prepare.

Just to be clear, idea isn't all bad.. Just needs some more thinking :)

People are "dodging" because they don't understand that they have to lock in. Once they learn, this will be less of a problem.

The reason for mandatory lockin is to make the lobby shorter; if I have to lock in anyway, I might as well do it right away rather than letting the timer tick down on its own while I go get a drink or just chat. I think it will work once people learn.
