Is it me or shyvana ap is kinda lame to play against? Her fire blast does huge amount of dmg and she is innately tanky. I mean she's not particularly that effective but holy shit is she obnoxious. She runs around and launch her HUGE AOE blast and then run around some more rinse and repeat.
I’m mean I have nothing against Shyvana AP actually is fun to play her like that but is very wrong that a Troll path is better than, well playing her as you supposed to, Ad jungle or whatever Just saying
Her huge aoe which btw has a shitty hitbox and it hits you even though u are a mile away from it.

Its the same as ap amumu or ap malphite. Annoting but not too effective
Shyvana's bruiser build is too easily kited. The AP build is the way to go because it doesn't require you to sit on their face to do damage.
I have always preferred the tanky/bruiser build for her and wish Riot would come up with a way to make it more viable (maybe make her passive not be team-dependent). I personally despise AP Shyvana because I just don't find it fun, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the build. I don't think it is too powerful and I don't think it lacks counterplay.
She needs a rework that doesn't ruin her and makes her AD/AS bruiser build viable in modern league.
