If you were taking a non-marksman bot lane as the 'carry' role - who would you take and why?

Hey all. So I was just browsing the forums when I came across this thread about non-marksman bot lanes, which sparked my creativity and hence this thread. I came up with some bot lane combinations that might be fun to try and just wanted to see how everyone rates them. Suggestions for other unconventional duos are also welcome! :D

Carry + Support

Brand + Alistar A twist on the commonly seen Brand support, with him being the carry. Alistar provides peeling and some robustness for the duo while the burning stickman blows people up from the back.

Swain + Morgana/Lux Morgana/Lux's roots allows Swain to yank enemies back more frequently, initiating shorter trades and skirmishes where their burst damage will really

Viktor + Sona Sona's sustain and buffs gives Viktor some breathing room as he slowly farms up to reach critical mass to blow people up later in the game.

Vladimir + Rakan Rakan's engage + charm combo helps Vlad set up a good ult to really deal a lot of damage in lane and in team fights. Also has a very strong counter engage.

Ziggs + Veigar A million ways to harass and if you get caught in Veigar's cage you get blasted to kingdom come before you even have time to flash. This combination however lies on the squishier side of the spectrum, care and proper vision set up to protect is recommended.

Yasuo + Janna Your typical iron Yasuo missing all his tornadoes? No worries cuz Janna can set up his ult for him and provide an extra engage threat that enemies will need to be wary of. Oh Janna's shield gives AD as well to make Yasuo even more cancerous.

Heimerdinger + MissFortune Bot lane officially becomes a kill zone and anyone trying to dive them better be tanky or can get out of Heimer's turrets and Miss Fortune's ult quickly enough. Also an extremely strong pushing lane which can give bot priority to support the jungler.

Mordekaiser + Ornn The bash brothers of League. Don't worry about not having an adc on your team, you can steal one anyway. Oh and now the enemy team is forced to contest drakes whenever possible.

Kayle + Soraka You think you have enough damage to burst them? Well think again as Kayle ults the Soraka that was caught out of position. Soraka also boosts Kayle's already insane dueling power with item 3124 item 3115 as she gives unlimited healing and sustain.

Ryze + TahmKench Ryze packs enough consistent damage to be a hypercarry in his own right. While a Ryze + TK duo gives the team unparalleled mobility across the map. Might not be as useful/well utilized in solo queue or lower ranks.

Rengar +Ivern Throwback to some Vietcong guerrilla warfare. Crazy cheese kill potential in lane against the right opponents. They can also pick summoner 11 and roam into the jungle to help secure objectives or assist the jungler in setting up vision.

Lissandra + Leona Incredible all in and crowd control potential, while being durable enough to engage in skirmishes (might be pretty strong with the passive changes coming to Lissandra). Also provides very strong teamfighting options.

Pantheon + Taric Two of the strongest duelists early on gives the opportunity to snowball early leads into games. Pantheon's w works well with Taric's stun. Also makes dives much more easier as Panth can tank turrets and Taric's ult gives the duo even more time to fight under turret.

Darius + Thresh Get caught by Thresh and you're pretty much dead. Probably going to be pretty strong in lower elo where players may not be as good in kiting. But will probably fall off in late game if there is no other consistent sources of damage.

Velkoz + JarvanIV Jarvan takes the L trapping everyone with his ult, while Vel'koz rains hell and melt everyone unlucky enough to be trapped inside J4's thunderdome. Should be able to trade decently in lane as well.

TwistedFate + Malzahar Another bot lane duo with very strong waveclear and harass. Gives more map freedom for roams to happen, Malzahar and TF also happens to be rather strong ganking champions.

Cassiopeia + Teemo Teemo's poison gives Cassio guaranteed empowered Es, while his blind also prevents the enemy from making good trades. Shrooms and Cassio's W is also very effective at zoning the lane and the map in general.

I actually have a lot of fun playing Nami+Sona with a friend of mine; we have shit waveclear but the amount of sutain and poke and engage/disengage we have is hilarious and fun. Can also do it with Soraka/Sona or Soraka/Nami. c: Probably Taric+Nami/Sona/Soraka would be pretty well too.

So I gave the idea some extra thoughts and I came up with a few more unique combinations; I have listed them out below in a carry + support format (plus some exceptions). I hope everyone likes these ideas! :D

Lux/Morgana/Zyra Any duo combination between this trio will bind you longer than your student loans. To top it off they all have their own niches to tailor to your team's needs, with Lux and her burst, Morgana's peel and shield and Zyra's zone control. Gold priority would generally be Lux > Zyra > Morgana but again can be flexible.

Aatrox + Zilean Aatrox ult + Zilean ult + item 3026 = Revive for days. There is a lot of room for high risk plays with the amount of revives this duo has. Not only that, Zilean could also power level your team and speed up Aatrox for a good engage or flank.

Azir + Thresh Azir is one of the few hypercarries that can really replace a marksman in the bot lane. Couple him with Thresh and you get a bot lane with a very strong engage and the ability to reposition Azir for a good ult.

Brand + Anivia The bot lane elemental duo strikes! They have a lot of AOE damage and burst combined, along with some (somewhat unreliable) crowd control. However they don't have much synergy as a lane duo IMO.

Renekton + Pyke Taking the kill lane to an extreme, the enemy has a lot to be wary of during their first few levels. Much more snowball reliant than other lanes due to the nature of these two champions, but they can really take over a game if they get a meaningful advantage over their lane opponents with their high pressure roams.

Zoe + Xerath Tilt your lane opponents to oblivion with the absurd range that both these champions have. They will provide all the siege you will ever need in a team as long as the other members can provide adequate support and peel.
