Gotta be a better Way,

I propose a system for ranked queue dodging. How about teams be able to vote if they want to leave the queue (solo/duo). Far too often has Champ select been ruined with "Grandma on fire, gonna afk"

I just lost my hard earned LP because some guy said "My mom called, Leaving in ten minutes" Then locked in Mid Yi and Said Let's troll. I waited till the last possible second and Dodged. But I feel like I'm being punished because I didn't want to waste time, and lose LP while a yi trolled us.

Just a thought, but If one guys is trolling, make a vote system where three yeses makes the whole team dodge. That way duos can troll together. I can't be alone in this, I understand that the system will never be perfect, but It's just an Idea.

Feed Back would be nice. Thanks for your time.

Riot has commented on stuff like this before, but the consensus is that if someone decided to play varus mid (for example) because he isn't meta everyone else would vote to dodge despite the fact that the person was being serious in their choice.

If in ranked, like this man suggested, then I would be all for dodging an AP Varus. As much as I love AP Varus and think it is op, it is not viable at all. If said person did good with it consistently, they could just link their op.gg in there and people would see this, thus not voting to dodge even if they do think it is stupid.

Except the problem is non-meta things can be viable or a player's champion pick might not be what the team wanted, so they cuss at him and dodge, regardless of whether the player could play that champion well or not.

Did you miss the part about looking them up? If they feed with their "viable op" pick, then you vote to dodge. If not, then let em play it.

Sometimes I wonder if people even read comments....I really don't think someone would be like, "you have a 60% win rate and 3.7 kda...your obviously trolling with your fiddles top. gg dodge."

Except people don't always look crap stuff. And what if it was just one bad game or an unlucky streak? Stats and numbers don't always mean everything. And people don't always play the same character in the same way, so looking up their stats for a single champion doesn't work.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Yeah, because if a person is 0-4 with a kda of 0.57, I am sure this is the game they will ball out on. No thanks, don't want to take that chance in my ranked game.

That's the chance you take every day. Simply playing ranked, I highly doubt you are able to check the match history and KDA of every member of your team before the game starts.

Exactly the point OP is trying to make, though?

You're exactly why this kind of system could never exist. :)

And I'm gonna take a guess that you're part of the reason toxic chat was targeted before toxic gameplay, too.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Because I don't want to play with a person playing a champ that they clearly don't know how to play? Please explain how this is toxic.

the problem is many people wouldn't even bother to look...they would just say "fidd top, troll!!"

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Quite honestly, if they think fiddles top is a troll pick, I probably don't want to play with them anyway. They obviously have no sense of the game if they think so xD

Maybe if we could see other players best 5 champions and the win rates with them so we could judge it and decide it based on those statistics?aaaa that would mean work to do so riot won't do that

I don't like this particular solution. I think they need to crack down much more severely on people who afk/troll games. There needs to be a system (which they're working on) that hands out real punishments and even bans if you leave or troll a game. Also apply loss prevented to games where something like that happens. This would negate the need for free dodges, and allow them to punish dodgers as well like they need to.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Personally, I don't believe they are working on a system.

wolfax1 votes

Well, considering they already released the one to round up all the toxic people in chat I don't see a reason to not think they're working on another system to catch trolls/afkers.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

If they were actually going to put in a system that did this, they wouldn't need to round up the "toxic" ones in chat. Most of the toxicity in this game comes from bitching at the trolls and feeders that Rito says "are just having a bad game". Meanwhile, that "bad game player" is 0/5 by 3 mins and keeps diving the fed enemies. Yeah, that's a bad game alright.

wolfax2 votes

Please, there are plenty of terrible people in chat as well.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Yes, there are. Not saying there isn't. I think, however, that there are much more people that get banned for bitching at a feeder than that are actually terrible. I can't recall getting into a game and having a teammate bitch at everyone for no reason. Not saying it didn't happen, but not that I can recall. On the other hand, it is hard to get into a game without someone saying something like, "can you please stop chasing the tank......dude, stop chasing the tank....stop being a noob.....goddam listen and stop chasing you stupid fuk". Don't really think response 4 would happen if the person wasn't trolling around is my point.

I had a guy do this... he first picked a mid lane, then got counter-picked. After he saw he was "countered" he said, "I have to afk for the first 10 minutes, try not to get too far behind". Pretty sure he was hoping somebody would dodge so he could get out of his unfavorable lane matchup. We took the chance and stayed. Sure enough, he was bluffing and we ended up winning the game.

I am all for this happening in ranked. Something needs to be done. It is not worth time dodging since you get a time penalty as well as losing lp. It is especially shitty in your promos. Also, I can vote to dodge when I get a first time lee trying to jungle. That shit just ruins the game experience and makes for a toxic environment for people. We should be able to dodge that from happening.

The system wouldn't be perfect but it would be completely manageable from riots end with a simple fix. Each player would be able to start a team cancel vote twice a day and it would reset every 24 hours similar to first win of the day. While it doesn't work that well if the hardcore players that get to play 10+ rank games a day for the more causal player 2 team votes are more than enough to ensure that my. Ranking experience isn't filled with 2 out of 4 troll games.

3 out of 5 needed to make the game cancel from champion select. That way people couldn't dodge just because the team comps were bad or something silly. To fool proof it even more make it so that the duo queue vote only counts for one and leader/host will have the deciding vote between the two of them so they wouldn't have more power than the other 3 peoples.
