Face majority golds in placements, go 3w 5L, get stuck in iron 2?

Could someone explain how this makes sense? If I am playing literally full teams of golds and still manage to win 37% of the games and it sticks me all the way down in iron? Doesn't make any logical sense. I don't expect to be gold because I went negative win loss but surely it makes sense for me to be at least somewhere in silver?

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Wait for the ranked reset at the end of preseason! You'll be okay:) 23rd Jan

It's a bug. if you were ranked before and you do new placements, you get placed in Iron. Contact Riot Support, they can put you into your real rank.
