Anybody else not liking the Jungle changes?

The RNG plants are just, really stupid honestly. Yeah I get it Riot wants to change up the Jungle and make it different, spice it up a bit and all that, that's great and all, but with these preseason changes I don't see them as being fun or even "tactical". It's pure RNG and I do hope they get taken out. I have not seen a single person like the new jungle changes so far. Also the added monsters to the smaller camps is just annoying and frustrating to deal with, with low sustain jugglers like Shaco and especially Eve. The Smite nerf, and yes in my opinion it's a HUGE nerf. Just isn't a good choice, and as a person who really enjoys the jungle. I don't like any of these changes coming up in the preseason. Maybe that's just my opinion but I hope I'm not the only one here. Maybe Riot should just tone somethings down or go back to the drawing board on some things. Just my thoughts on the jungle right now.

The plants are not RNG. People need to understand this.

They have set locations, set times, set types.

isn't their spawn locations + time relatively rng

kinda like drag or crit chance...just because they have a formula doesn't mean it isn't rng. They both have rng elements and doesnt plans as well?

not sure why I'm being downvoted for asking a question...gotta love the boards

Not really. Although their exact spawn position is RNG, 99% of where they will be isn't. The heals will be in the river, the vision will be in the section where the jg meets the river, and explosives will be in choke points in the jg. They a;so have set times on when they will spawn, varying by about 30s to 1 minute, and respawn at set times like a jg camp. Although their is a small RNG element to them, they are mostly predictable.

I feel like the plants are just kind of pointless. No need to add something for no reason.

I main jungle and looking at the new changes I don't really care what they do. All it means is we as junglers have to adapt and evolve (I love kha btw) to the new enviroment.

Plants are going to be the big jg change for this preseason, and in my opinion, people are over reacting to them a little. There will be 3 different types of plants implemented. The Scryer's bloom, honeysuckle, and I think blast cone. Not sure on the names.

The scryer's bloom is effectively an ashe hawkshot. How it works is that when you AA it, it shoots out a 1000 ranged skillshot which reveals anything it touches in the direction you hit it from for a set time, including invisible units such as wards and traps. If the unit is moving, the vision wears off faster. These spawn in those sections next to the mid lane where the jg intersects the mid lane.

The honeysuckle is a plant that when you hit it, spawns 6 smaller plants. These plants spawn kind of like a Ziggs mine field, except rather than damaging and slowing you if you hit one, you heal for a certain amount and are given a stackable 90% slow for 0.25 seconds. This means that if you were to eat all the plants, you will be slowed for 1.5 seconds, making them not the best option to pick up if you're trying to escape something. The heals does a combo of flat heal and % missing health heal on you, and I believe scales with level. These spawn in the river.

Finally there is the Blast cone. The blast cone is basically the ziggs knockback ability. You hit it, you get blasted in the direction away from the plant from where you were standing on it. Spawns in the rest of the jg, but usually on the choke points where you can jump over walls, either to camps or drag/baron pits.

Ah ok ty. I think these sound kinda cool but I'm not a jg player so I can't really form a good opinion on them. Kinda interested to see them in game though
