Good Job/Well Done Ping

I think that there should be a ping that allows you to show teammates when they've done something right, and while you can type in chat "Nice job" or whatever, I think adding a ping, possibly a thumbs up symbol, would be useful for multiple reasons.

  1. Better communication Using a ping to indicate when someone has done something right is quicker than typing, while allowing it to be more specific in some cases. The person you're thanking knows who you are talking to, because you pinged them, and avoids awkwardness because you don't have to talk to them. This would also be faster, in case you're still doing stuff after that, so you can let them know specifically what it was that they did, rather than one thing in a whole string of stuff they did.

  2. Raise Moral (E) It's nice to tell people "Good Job", yet some people don't care enough/are too lazy, an in game ping is easier. Players can strive to get good job pings. Additionally, sometimes players gt into fights during games, and perhaps this could be a way of making up and acquiring better teamwork.

  3. Educate newer players This tool would be extremely useful for new players, because older players can ping when they've done something great, which shows new players what they should be doing. Going along with raising morale, this lets players focus on things they've done right and less on how bad they screwed up a team fight or something. You can thank a newbie support for placing wards or getting a hook at the right time, thank a teammate for getting cc at the right time, etc.

In closing, I'm interested to hear what you think about this. It seems unlikely that this will be a thing, so feel free to say how you would use this if you could. I'm open to criticism. Thank you for reading, and remember that it is a suggestion, so don't freak out about it.

I thought of having this but I quickly realized that it'd be a huge waste of a new ping. It doesn't directly contribute to gameplay like the rest of the pings do, and there are other new pings that would (primarily "please ward this" and "enemy ward here").

Since you don't need to say it in combat, it's better to just say your "thanks" and "nice job" after it's safe to type.
