Fizz is broken
Doesn't even need his ult, and he can miss his E, and he will still outdmg you.

You know your broken when you don't even need to build damage items to out damage most other champs.

Played against a Fizz on Saturday, I had 111 cs at 14 minutes, he had 38, I was 2-0, he was 0-1. I was playing Brand, landed my full combo, he did his all in, killed me.
That. Shouldn't. Happen.

Most of fizz's dmg comes from his W not his E or R. And is fizz the champ of the week we bitch about? I'll grab the pitchfork.
There are some PBE nerfs for him to W damage: -5/-10/-15/-20/-25. His W damage ratio on active and passive state has been buffed from 33.3% to 40%
The nerfs were mainly to AD Fizz and Riot is nudging him back into AP itemization as more favorable. However, i still think that his E shouldn't be a fully fledged ability in terms of damage and same scaling from his preferred stat (AP). Fizz just levels this ability ASAP and instead of his engaging combo, we get nuked with an untargetability spell without having enough time to respond.
Just look at Fiora. Her W has decent base damage BUT it is magic damage and scales off AP. This ability wasn't meant to scale well with her kit, provided the utility it gives her is among the best abilities there are. So Fiora is not even encouraged to level this first as she wants Q and E. W is last. Fiora's Riposte CD is even higher than Fizz's on all levels.
I think Fizz would be a lot more manageable if his basic skill combo wasn't enough to obliterate people without the use of his ult, to be honest. I just don't like that his E is his bread and butter skill in terms of not giving a fuck about no damage or CC from the enemy and it triples as the most damaging ability in his kit and is a super waveclear tool.
#If a champion has unparalleled utility on one of his abilities, that ability in itself should not be a part of his damage combo.
He's disgusting. Gbay99 did a video on him explaining why. He only gives you an opportunity to hit him for about 1 second durimg his combo, Renekton gives you about 2 and he's also oppressive. He alsi hits way too hard.

You know what really gets on my nerves about Fizz?
As soon as he reaches level 6, if he lands his ulti he deletes the other midlaner, just with his ulti. I thougth the idea about "assasins" was using combos and multiple skills to kill someone, not "press R to instakill someone with a skillshot", that is the mages job, and a mage has to be quite fed to kill someone just with R.

The weird power Lich Bane on his W is kind of a weird one...
Couldn't he pop the mark for a slow or grievous or something besides 100% AP?
