Preset builds for champions before game?

So I know that riot lets you make a preset item build and set an item set for each champ, and set them for certain lanes but for the longest time i thought that they should take it a step further. Im thinking that they should let you set your runes, masteries, build and sums set up for each champ. Its very common to have the wrong set up comming in, so Im thinking the best think they can do is have a feature that will let you assign these set ups for champs so that once you select the champ, its already set up for you. hopefully Im just talkin out my arse and this feature exists already, but if not...riot please.... -thank you [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

That's a great idea. The only potential issue is bandwidth wherever that data is stored, but if they can store item builds I don't see why they couldn't store rune pages just fine. There's also the fact that you'd have to buy pages for each individual champion, but come on Riot, let's do away with that madness. These are things that are essentially necessary to play the game these days, don't make us spend resources to have fair games.

From what I understand, Riot's doing away with rune pages once they implement the new system, which means there should ideally be no strings attached to additional pages. What I think is also possible, even if I'm less sure of it, is for Riot to store build preferences and whatnot client-side, as it's not sensitive enough data to warrant being stored server-side (e.g. rank, honor, IP, RP, etc.).

I really like this idea. League has a lot of customization systems that take up a lot of time to set up even pre-game, and adding this feature could help accelerate lobby times by a ton while decreasing the likelihood of getting the wrong setup, both of which Riot are working hard to achieve. Now that out-of-game customization systems are soon to no longer be tied to IP at all, I think it could be the perfect opportunity to have the game remember your rune and summoner spell preferences for specific champions, instead of keeping the current system of cover-all rune/mastery pages. Most games with multiple characters and customization systems typically give each of those characters loadouts you can configure, even when those systems offer options for multiple characters (e.g. Team Fortress 2, Warframe...), and I feel this could be the opportunity for League to do the same.

Question though... How do I look at the preset build for my champ while in game??
