Jungling In League Of Legends

Hey everyone,

So i got into a vs ai match with other players and was told by one of the players to go and jungle since i was playing as shyvana, i did and eventually found out via communicating with the team that the buffs in the jungle only apply to the player who defeats the creatures not the whole team. I responded in the ingame chat with something akin to what is the point of jungling if only one player gets the buff. For me, if there is something that i feel doesn't benefit the entire team not just one person, especially with what happened in the aforementioned match then it's something i won't do. I would still like to know what is the point of jungling in league of legends? Is there something more to it than what i'm seeing? Or is it just an utter waste of time?

Sincerely, Aerilaya

The reason there is a jungle is so people can get more experience and overall levels. That way you have 3 solo lanes (top, mid, jg) then just the one lane with two people. Junglers do more then that but that is the strategy of having solo lanes.
