Would Perma-ban or Season-ban even work?

People who threaten to quit in ranked and then actually leave, would perma-ban solve this problem? The logs are quite clear, if someone threatens to quit and/or griefs and then quits a ranked match (happens all too often) I do believe they should be perma-banned. At least from ranked play on that account, or for the remainder of the season.

It just seems so prevalent and the disciplinary measures so ineffective.

Unless it's a very very very serious case of a habitual offender, I doubt they would ever do such a severe punishment.

> Implying Riot has ever cared about improving the quality of ranked. If it's not a racial or homophobic slur, they don't care about chat.

Do you not believe in a Reform method? I hate rage quitters as much as the next person, but most who do it by habit suffer consequences already, and those who just had a bad day aren't chronic leavers. A seasonal ban wouldn't reform the first any more than current methods, and it would be too harsh on the second for no benefit. There is a fine line with punishment and leniency that Riot walks when they dole out restrictions/bans. They are never done trying to improve on that, and have been making huge strides with it recently and have more on the way very soon.

It would solve the problem of toxic players putting money in Riot's pockets. This is a problem they don't want to solve.
