Concerning Gangplank and Trinity Force

Well as you can see from the title this is an article concerning Gangplank GP and what I think about the state of him and how he no longer gets crit from trinity forceitem 3078 with the change of trinity force and how it no longer has crit I t=feel you could maybe just make it so that everytime you put a point into his q you could maybe have it so he gets 2% crit chance everytime so at max you get 10% and maybe some item that you can get from silver serpents that gives the extra 10% or maybe not and just put 10% crit in your runes. Well that's what I thought about what you can maybe do with GP...

That is from patch 6.10 when trinity was the literal perfect item for him. I expect his winrate to be a few percent lower. Also that is the overall score that he is high in, cause he gets lots of gold, which even with all that gold it doesnt make him win any more than lots of other champs that get less gold.

Anyways main point is that that is old info from when he was in a strong spot, I expect him to be mid-badish tier this patch when Champ.gg updates. Thats fine though. GP should be average - badish for a while, he was a good pick in the hands of experienced GP players for awhile

My point was he's over performing patch 6.10. If he only receives an indirect nerf from Trinity Force, that's surely not enough to totally cripple him. On the other hand, it does shave off his over performance. The Trinity Force nerf may just be one of the equalizers needed to make GP not the edge case in balance that he is today.

Oh gotcha, I thought you were saying he was currently going that strong. All good then, yea I agree GP will prob be pretty middle of the pack on the current patch, whenever champ.gg gets that data up.

Gangplank doesn't need to be compensated simply for a change to one of his commonly built items.

Tell that to Fizz when Riot changed Lich Bane. They compensated him immediately after the change took place.

That said, it seems most GP mains are still building him the same (Trinity into IE).

Critplank isn't the only way to play Gangplank you know. It actually used to just be a trolly way of playing him. If you don't like Trinity as it is try experimenting a bit.

Yea we are still waiting on data from Champ.gg to be updated for patch 6.11, when that hits us plebs that dont have RIOT data can guess as to whether or not his winrate was hit hard enough by the trinity changes to warrent buffs. I doubt any will come any time soon though, he still feels okish to play, which is probably how a balanced champion should feel.

might need to have a look at Nasus Concerning the item 3078 Changes. The health, mana, cdr, and attack speed gives I'm virtually infinite sustain and almost impossible to counter ion both earl game farm and late game when he is tanky. can get almost perfect cs and up to 300 stacks on his q by 20 mins
