One thing that has never changed in the history of League ever is that you always take flash as a summoner skill.
Why not add summoner skill bans?
Where things have never changed, change should be. If no other options are viable, why have them? The solution: bans.
One team bans flash the other team bans smite.
Then someone queue dodges because no one wants to play that sort of match.
If Flash was banned out, players would stop playing any champion that is squishy and can be quickly bursted. Like AeroWaffle said, smite can be banned and the Jungle becomes irrelevant.
This would not allow new metas but instead completely change the game.
You want League without Smite? Why not just play Flash?
