Saving Capsules (Until New Champion Release) Worth It??

Does anyone/Riot know - when you get capsules are their contents determined at that time? Or is it determined when you open it?

Essentially, should I save my capsules until Zoe is released?

I don’t think any capsules or chests have had their contents determined before you open them.

Although Riot has occasionally said some things indicating that there might be a delay before new content enters the loot pool.

Why not just open them and disenchant until you have enough BE to buy Zoe?

Because if it drops a Zoe shard, he will get a big discount or more BE on disenchant.

I think it rolls when you open it.

Evidence: I had a bunch of chests. I opened after the patch, they started dropping double chests. These were chests from the old patch, but they had the new rules applied onto them. I could be wrong, but it is worth saving the capsules if oyu don't mind waiting. Probably won't pull Zoe, but you already know that.

I mean if there's nothing else you are looking to buy or save up for then just save the capsules.
