Losing Ranked LP due to leavers/afkers

Most of you people have experienced it, leavers/afkers. Overall they are a pretty big issue in all game modes, but we all know where it's most frustrating, Ranked matches. Since I personally get a leaver in my team every 2/5 games I play, I lose LP unnecessarely. I have a suggestion to make on how to prevent or reduce the amount of leavers in this particular gamemode.

Most of the time the player that leaves is in a bad mood and doesn't feel like playing no more, it's hardly the case that someone who leaves actually has to attend something. So my suggestion is: How about Riot develops (next to Leaver Buster) a system that if the player leaves a ranked match in progress, he gets to lose all of the allies' LP combined (and if he/she already has 0 LP, drops a tier). I personally think this should reduce the amount of leavers in this particular gamemode by a lot. Leavers need to get punished hard for their actions, if not they will just keep doing so because the punishment is not a huge deal.
