Now, many Akali players buy Doran Ring to convert the adaptive for to AP. On the one hand, Doran Ring can be a aggressive option. On the other hand, in most situations, Akali uses Q to poke enemies and she doesnt necessarily to AA(with passive) since she has no mana bar and can do sustain damage.
