Hey i dont know if this is meant to be that way, which would be silly or it just append for me. If i rocket jump with tristana Tristana over the jinx Jinx chompers i get rooted no matter what how far away i start and land from them or how high i jumped. Can somebody confirm that this happens?

The game doesn't consider a vertical axis.

The vertical height is animation-only; it doesn't have anything to do with gameplay.

You can be crossing over the ground (like Sejuani or Gragas), far above the ground (like Tristana or Kha'zix), or even below the ground (Rek'sai) without distinction; dashes will be treated the same.

That's intentional. Tristana's "jump" is actually just a dash with a weird animation. All other mines/traps work the same way.

Tristana's rocket jump is a dash not a blink. Dash's can be interrupted. It's counter-intuitive but that is how it is with her. Just about anything can interrupt her jump. Also, League doesn't use a height axis, so that doesn't matter for the sake of avoiding things.

Tristana getting rooted by Jinx's chompers is intended. Trist's jump is functionally a dash. Her jumping into the air doesn't actually mean anything in gameplay terms. She may as well be moving on the ground. If it would affect a dash, it will affect Tristana.

Its because she in reality dashes. Like how shen would.

if you want to traverse over traps you need to be Malphite or have a blink.
