I think that blue essence is crap because your never even really getting the amount of credit or money that you work so hard for each and every match.

The problem is there's not obviously progress made every time you play a game. Before you could see, "only 2 more games and I can buy X champion." Now it's, "Well, when I level up I can buy that champion". Worst is when you're just 20 BE from getting that champ after leveling up. Before that was 1 game, now it's 1 level which could be 5-10 games depending.
