Don't destroy Blitzcranks Identity

The new PBE changes for blitzcrank do nothing but hurt Blitzcranks identity as a champion, these changes feel very forced and do not have the champion in mind. I feel like they added these changes to the lesser played champions to create hard counter picks in the game without regard to the champions actual design and identity.

W - His W doesn't need to be changed and the new W doesn't do anything different besides having to waste time to ramp it up to engage but you end up Morgana rooting yourself. It already slows you at the end of the duration and you should be using it to engage most of the time. If anything his new W will make disengaging more reliable while making engaging more of a gamble. Since if you take a bad trade engaging with W you will most certainly die before 6. Why is Riot Obsessed with blitzcrank self ccing himself? When these champions Get far better engage and disengage tools while also doing being able to 100-0Kassadin Katarina Kayn Kennen Khazix Leblanc Pyke Talon Vayne Zed Azir Riven

R - The increased CD on his ult early will hurt his early game a lot, you will see far less roams, way less W-E-Q All ins. Especially when one of the main reasons you pickup blitz is to snowball the early game. Also, Blitzcrank isnt Leona he doesnt just W-R into the entire team you want to play off his hooks.

I honestly think riot just added these changes because they wanted shieldbreakers in the game so picked lesser played champs, so no one would care.

Blitz identity is to hook someone and punch them in the face. That is his identity

They reverted the whole multi-cast, self-root thing, and reverted the ult cooldown increase while keeping the cool new shield shredding and cleanse.

Besides, Blitzcrank's identity is the whole, "grab you from across the screen into certain doom" thing. The proposed changes don't hurt that identity at all.

blitz lost his identify with naut/thresh/pyke release. they are safer champions that do his job better and have way better tools to peel.

i also don't like investing a champions power budget into something niche such as breaking an enemies shield.

Dota 2, there is only 1 pudge. ONE hook champion from long range. No hook and bring them to the middle/towards you slightly champion that ruins what that champion is.

So now riot realizes blitz is outclassed and the only way to make him good is by buffing/changing his whole kit besides Q.

So the whole "identity" thing is purely opinion, but I can say without a doubt that having a higher ult cd is in no way a bad thing. His ridiculously low ult cd is a bad thing, a giant aoe silence being on a short cd is definitely a BAD THING.

I like the idea of the changes. His W was already meant to be the idea that he overclocks himself, but with these changes, he REALLY overclocks himself.

So easy. Only 6 self roots and 11 channels on 9 button presses with 3.9s of self root and 3.15s(1.15s uninterruptible) of channeling for a total of 5.05s forced immobilization on an 'Assassin'.

those changes probably won't get to live servers tbh. They look unhealthy for not just Blitz, but the game overall.

His ult in particular, His W also removes his old weakness (His slow) aslong as he mashes the button.

If you mash the button you get: 60/75/90/105/120 It's better than the old W at tier 3 with that.

I doubt that it'll come through.

why is it such a big deal for blitz to have mobility to a point where he is severely punished but, every champion under the sun since season 3 can get massive amounts of mobility in every aspect imaginable with heals,shields extended charges added on riot is having a serious internal issue at this point with design philosophy makes sense that the OG names in league are just not playing it anymore.
