Adaptive Runes & Corki

Not sure if this was already posted or not.

I understand "AD or AP, Adaptive" runes will determine based on how much AD/AP is in your build. But, what about "physical or magic damage, Adaptive" runes? How is that determined?

I ask for Corki because he builds AD and wants AD but deals mostly magic damage, so I wouldn't want physical damage added to his kit due to runes seeing the AD in his build. Thanks.

The only difference it would make is if he has sorc shoes. Other than that, it doesn't really matter to him if it deals physical or magic damage. Against an enemy who counter builds him, it actually helps if the runes do physical damage because his targets won't have armor.
