So today I dodged an Aram game because I got 3 champs that I really just did not wanna play ( W/2 rr). So I re-logged expecting a 5 min penalty but then I was hit with the 15 Min wait. From what I understand I guess there was an Aram dodge abuse ** previously so they implemented this to stop that._ I wont say that I agree with the 15 minutes but I'd say 10 minutes is reasonable if anything.**_

~~Also want to add that I know my RNG is garbo but I always get like morde, udyr and heim.~~ >.<

Before anyone says go buy more champs. I own 111 of the 137 champions.

ARAM dodge abuse is an on-going problem, not something from years long past. The fact that ARAM only pulls from the pool of owned+free champs worsens the problem since it supports the (faulty) expectation that players should have control over the random champ picks.

Why do you think a 15-minute dodge penalty is excessive? And why would 10 minutes be more reasonable?

I believe that a 15 minute dodge penalty is excessive because, If I'm allowed to dodge a normal game and get 5 minutes, why is it x3 the amount for Aram?! Yes, I understand that people can abuse the system by leaving if they don't get what they want or like. But I don't see the reason of giving a penalty so large that you are put in a situation in which you are waiting out the Aram game you dodged. Most Aram games last from 15-20 minutes so I just can't seem to get around this (analyzing my own Aram history). My answer about the 10 minute wait was me just throwing out some type of solution I hadn't really thought about, but I guess I'd say that waiting out 2/3 of a usual Aram (10 min) game would be better than waiting a full length game.

It's unfortunate that some people make account new just to have a specific champ pool that they play for Aram purpose. But it can't be helped since the Aram has been built off of your champ pool + weekly champs. The only thing that I've seen that would "solve" this is to give all champs to everyone in Aram, but I don't support this idea.

You might not be the issue but unfortunately you are not the only one that plays this game. Fact of the matter, far too many people were dodging ARAM games due to not getting the champions they wanted. The 15 minute is needed and even then the dodge amounts are excessive.

I understand your point and I agree that Aram dodging can be annoying sometimes, but I still debate about the penalty. I do believe that Avid Aram players are and have been mad at this problem for so long now. And that they shouldn't have to deal with this, I won't throw in special situations like where people think they have enough time to play a game but they don't or something happens while in select and they have to dodge. The point is, I understand the penalty but I'm just in disbelief about how this is how things are. I apologize if may have said anything wrong.

Please get the fuck out of this mode if you can't understand the concept of "ALL RANDOM". I wish they'd just completely ban people who dodge ARAM games, sometimes it takes 15 minutes to start a game thanks to trash players like you.

I play a lot of Aram as well, and I think you're missing the point of my discussion. I guess I didn't explain it well. I UNDERSTAND that the mode is ALL RANDOM, and for that its a fun mode to play. You also accuse me of being a trash Aram dodger when I obviously made the post on my first dodge. If I knew how long an Aram dodge was I wouldn't have made this at all.

I know that Aram dodging can happen frequently but I've never experienced a "15 minutes" wait for a game to start. If you take a look at my Account history I would know the pain, in the past week I've played well over 40 Aram games. So before you go along and start being an asshole why not think about what you say first of all. Second, why not try to give some useful insight rather than bashing someone who is asking a question on the community discussion boards.

It's little Ironic that I don't even like to play ziggs nor do I own the champ. Also why would I hope to get the same champ every time? I do believe that people play Aram for the fun of being given a random champ that they may have never even played all that much. I've played all roles in Aram and I have no problem in doing so. "That's what you get for dodging." Is quite a bold statement along with assuming a champ that I'd like to be given, without even knowing what I like and don't like. This is the first time I dodge and now I know, sorry if you came here expecting me to just allow this comment to slide but at least do your research before saying something like that. Yes I dodged 1 Aram game in my whole life of league, I'm a damn criminal now! Lock me up !!

I play a lot of ARAM too, heck, I'll dodge once in a while too. The problem is that you're asking for dodging to be less punishing, but it's doing exactly what it should be, punishing you.

I'll reformulate the Ziggs statement. You can't expect to get a top tier champion every time. You were unlucky by being assigned bad champions, but RNG always evens out. Trust me.

I apologize if I offended you in any which way. I know this so I guess I'll just live with it, one bad RNG game won't ruin my life or anything. If this penalty is what is ultimately needed for the success of Aram then so be it. I enjoy Aram to much to hate it, thanks for answering :)

And yea I'm sure RNG will even out eventually. I might have just been heated at the moment, sorry for the inconvenience!

Eh, I was too rude. A couple of months ago I had 6 or 7 champ select dodges in a row before getting in game and that tilted me hard.

Untill basically every game will end with a 40-20 stomp because of unfair team compositions, people will keep dodging.

Aram needs to be totally reworked (random, champion pool, "aram accounts", overall balancing), but they aren't gonna do that for sure.

Those stomp can happen every few games I agree and there's a lot of flaws with Aram in that perspective. But, we'll just have to live with it, no need to get so hung up on it.

Those stomp can happen every few games I agree and there's a lot of flaws with Aram in that perspective. But, we'll just have to live with it, no need to get so hung up on it.

We could also live with a 15 minute penalty :P But no, it's noit resonable that so many Aram games are awful because a flawed system; and a 15 minute penalty that comes from a flawed system is unfair as well. (I've never dodged an Aram game tho... I'm a fool :D)

I'm not saying that it's reasonable, I'm stating that there is no point in complaining over the Champ system/Pool issue. Aram most likely will not see a change like that~ 15 minutes suck but if it teaches consistent Aram dodgers then I guess It's worth.
