What should I get for Aatrox

Very underwhelming toplaner, more successful as a jungler.

I don't play Aatrox like an OnHit Hypercarry Freak-Of-Nature anymore due to the fact that a lot more people are buying GW earlier on as an ADC/AD whatever, and Mortal Reminder is pretty much obligatory against Aatrox because it pisses all over his sustain. BotRK isn't what it used to be as an all-purpose item and is much more situational.

The build above is all about strong early game dueling, followed up with enough beef to soak up damage while initiating fights or going HAM during a peel. Hydra is definitely Aatrox's go-to item regardless of where you send him. I prefer not using Devourer since the flat-AD and CDR feel a lot more benificial. My jungle Aatrox runes are typically gutloaded with ASPD so rushing an ASPD item usually isn't top-priority for me.

The frozen mallet is just a situational final buy, Aatrox has tons of options as far as final item choices go. . Spirit Visage really isn't that great when you've got so many other great MR alternatives that are offensively-tuned (the kind of stuff you'd want on Aatrox).
