Katarina "more significant changes someday"?

I have been playing Katarina since I started league and has grown to be one of my top favorite champions. As the owner of every Katarina skin (except red card) and having a poster of her on my wall, the quote from Meddler commented "We think there might be some room for small changes to her so we're trying out some light stuff. She does still have some issues with excessively binary, hard to respond to performance though as you say. I expect we'll want to make more significant changes someday (long term) as a result." Kinda worry's me. I'm sure atm the team is not really focused on her right now but I want to know what changes to be expecting down the road even it be a year from now. Would she keep her flashy resets, high risk high reward, and all of her high aoe dmg? I'm guessing you guys don't really know the specifics but what did you guys have in mind in changing her or maybe a better question would be to ask what is it that you guys feel needs to be changed that doesn't seem to be working out?
