Alright, so to everyone who believes Azir is a mid. I got some news for ya. Hes a Jungler.2 Azir's clear time in jungle is decent at the start and probably the fastest possible clear time in the game mid - late game. I usually level 18 when everyone in the game is around 15-16 which is pretty good. He can also do baron alone in 20 seconds as long as a support tanks the damage from baron.

I currently have a 60%+ win rate with him , and overall he is just a really good champion in general. I strongly recommend testing this out. A major problem of course is getting your red and watching for invade which isn't too huge but can become problematic. I've done over 40 games with him in ranked, trust me it works.

I was gold 3 but then I started doing Azir jungle and his carry potential is very very good which within the past week got me to gold 1.

unfortunately it's just really nice of the enemy junglers not to gank at your second buff, he gets way too dangerously low in the jungle... that said the items fit well and he's a fun champ so kudos. Also I love the rushing ultimate in the penta vid, good stuff.

Jungle Azir is pretty good. I prefer support Azir, myself. Having the support simultaneously support while being a massive threat past 20-25 minutes is REALLY awesome, not to mention it really helps make up for fail carries.

This is a classic case of "it works but there are champs that do the same thing better."

I get the impression that the way you play Azir Jungle is to have "ok" ganks mid game, great objective control and scale into hyper carry late game.

It clearly can work but I see multiple problems:

  • You're going to cry if you get counterjungled. Your early game clear is terrible and you don't have any innate sustain so you take a lot of damage in the jungle. You are also vulnerable as you depend heavily on positioning, and if caught out of position in your jungle you'll straight out lose the fight every time.

  • You have little utility and thus depend on getting fed to be effective.

  • Limited mobility. Your E Dash is helpful to escape scenarios but you are vulnerable as you transition. Since you depend heavily on position if you get caught you're in serious trouble.

  • Heavily mana dependent.

  • Zoning is one of Azir's strongest options but it's largely squandered in the jungle.

What is the better alternative here? Amumu.

  • Your early game clear is not nearly as bad
  • Significantly better ganks with two CC abilities and a better gap closer.
  • Extremely effective even when not fed (can build tanky or AP) very high utility.
  • Isn't a glass cannon. Can escape even when caught out of position.
  • Can carry a team late game.
  • More flexible build paths. Can be AP Nuke or disruptive tank.

Pretty much the only thing Azir is better than Amumu at is Baron and Dragon control, which is certainly handy, but that's about it.

I didn't say it didn't work. I said specifically it does work, simply that there are better more well-rounded options in the jungle than Azir.

And yes, I saw the video. You took most - if not all - the blues.
