Any update on Darius

I remember a while back when the gp kit update had been announced that a new darius kit had been in testing and was said to be 90% complete. Just wondering if anything is expected this year for the manly dunkmaster.

We've actually come back around to the work that started 2 years ago and will have something to show very soon. Statikk picked up the darius project after he finished working on Gangplank, and it turns out we can make a lot of improvements for him without too many dramatic changes.

When it's all done, he should have a more healthy + satisfying + some new unique stuff in his kit.

Please change Noxian Guillotine mechanic. Darius can't use ultimate while being under snares, binds etc. Seems like this ability works like Akali's Shadow Dance. But he able to dunk enemies after stun. Makes no sence.

please just so can still cheat? get an easy kill? have your handicap? its obviously broken and needs to be thrown out and reworked lmfao. i own every single darius top as udyr but no matter how fed i get and how many times he dies as soon as he hits 6 he can one shot me... that right there is the epitomey definition of a broken champ made for handicapped players... dont claim that its his defining skill hoping riot will be too scared to change him just so you cant still have an ez life lmfao

As a Darius main since his release, my favorite mecanic was the full reset on ult. Is the change will give more reset on ultimate ?

I sincerely hope that "more healthy" translates to "no longer does one combo, presses R, and gets a free kill while building full tank".

It's the same deal with Cho'Gath, where the hell is the counterplay (or risk) when the unkillable tanks get s#!t tons of free, undodgeable, cannot-be-mitigated damage?

I see a lot of darius players wondering in the forums if they are going to be buffed. For the meantime I suggest getting distortion boots to get the cdr on flash. it's plain amazing on him with the flash pull which can basically end a match. Getting more flash pulls means you become the intiator and the executor-the spotlight you deserve.

Is he going to have a healthier laning phase? Him right now is insanely overbearing in laning phase as a massive lane bully but the trade off is that he is mediocre in late game. I understand the point of his rework, but I rather not see a champion who's massively powerful in Early Game, and still end up being strong in mid/late game.

darius already has pretty unique mechanics.

no matter where you are, you cant scape either the hook or the ultimate....

never been fixed, and when darius was the rage i almost stopped playing league because of that.

I really hope he isn't too drastically changed. For me, the Q and E are really staple skills on Darius and I think they're perfect as-is. In particular, that E is one of the main reasons I play (and main) Darius over other champions, and I'd be very, very sad if he lost it.

The W is the main skill of his that doesn't really have "flair"...a quick auto reset that slows their move and attack speed for a short time. But it's still an important part of his kit. I guess I'm just pretty worried that this update will upset the balance of his kit in some important way or remove some of the things that make him "fun" to play (positioning for max range Q's, landing E's on fleeing opponents etc.). I should probably have more faith because the Gangplank update looks wonderful. But changing this champion just has so many potential downsides that it worries me.
