How good is Garg Stoneplate really?

How good is it really? Ive tried it on Malphite and Sejuani, it seems like something you use immediately after using their dives (mals ult, sejs ult>then dash in) then soak up whatever they try and blow on you/tower hits.

Any other inputs?

Its really good on Darius and Cho'gath. Their true damage isn't reduced (and he has that max HP scaling on his ult so it actually does MORE damage)
