Not a fan of the assassin update...

Kat has no engage now. Like, none. You have to go in at a blade to be a factor and the blades are never in a good position, so there's never a real opportune time. And its almost impossible to not go in to your blade because then you do no damage. She's an assassin that is supposed to do damage fast. That isn't happening here. She's far inferior to Zed, Yas, and definitely Talon in this patch. She has no engage and she's rendered, basically, useless. She wasn't balanced, she was nerfed. Hard. Everyone else seems to be balanced or buffed. Not a fan at all. Talon is broken by the way. Broken.

Kat was never really an engage champion, she was always more the kind of champion who followed up on an ally's engage and performed cleanup duty. She also has far more tools to escape fights now without needing to kill anyone, too, which is a significant advantage over current Kat.

Rengar main here, and he also got nerfed hard. not balanced

I don't know why they thought Rengar ultimate/twitch Q needed a proximity radius, Talon and Kha Zix has much more mobility, the same damage output, more CC, Engage and much better stealth... (longer lasting "camouflage" isn't going to add much) and no base heal on his W hurts a lot.

You know Rengar is the strongest melee assassin this patch, right? Like, nothing can save you from him if he gets his passive stacked.

Except good old fashioned teamwork!

It will take a lot of planning, coordination, and good reaction time to interrupt Rengar's jump and mow him down while CC'd. Considering he doesn't Olaf ult and just kill your ADC anyway.

His damage needs to be nerfed.

You know Mel, you might be right since I haven't fully got to experience how terrifying he can be. So far I'm satisfied that my ADC had enough time to blink away.

^This.

When you have an immobile ADC/an idiot who picks Katarina top into Rengar, you get a lot of problems. Mainly that of which consist of not being able to leave base without getting one shot. In an AoE. Especially since your Kha was an idiot and lost The Hunt.

Thanks.

I honestly thought you were a Nid main all this time because of your name.

"Kata takes skill to play now and I'm a sad panda"

That's pretty much what I'm hearing. If her blades aren't in good places, it's because you didn't PUT them in good spots. Git gud.

Katarina was just too op. If she gets 2 kills above the enemy mid laner, it's pretty much ggwp. I think her rework was meant to be. Talon isn't as broken as you think: his early game is good, but in late game, it's harder to get kills.

face the music: you are not supposed anymore to go "pentakill time"

Catastrop1 votes

Actually Pentakill time is very much possible, just not as easy to pull off anymore, which is sad because I as a Kat main don't have much mechanical skill in the first place.

Aptest1 votes

Well.

I'm definitely more ok with katarina being a strong chasing and clean-up champion, than with her being a "out of CC? Insta-Penta".

and yes I am blowing it up a bit for the sake of getting my message across.

kat is more difficult to pull of now, yes.

i think it will take time to get used to how her blades bounce to plan where they land while youre already executing the shunpo, so you land directly on the blade just when it hits the ground. this gives the enemy a bit less time to react if he doesnt know how the blade mechanic works.

there are a couple of rules to it. for example they always land on the opposite direction between you and the first target when you threw the blade. you also have more control over the exact target position of shunpo. you land right where your mouse cursor is hovering next to your target.

meaning you can chose to land in front of the enemy or behind him, or at the side. this gives you a little bit more wiggle room to always land on a dagger when its sitting next to an enemy.
