Janna might need a few buffs

-Already one of, if not the most, nerfed champions in the game

-Lowest base stats in the game

-Least damage in the game (even rakan does more than her)

-One of the lowest cc supports (unless you charge her Q fully, but doing that will make it entirely useless, as youre giving them 3 seconds of warning time to dodge an already-slow skillshot)

-One of the lowest shields in the game (240 at max rank, lux shield is at least double this when building AP, which janna cant do if she wants to be relevant)

-She has two ways to stop dashes? Guess what, so does nami, poppy (has three), sion, etc.

-Her ultimate knocks you back way too far? Already recieved many huge nerfs, and doing it more would be stupid.

Im pretty sure its ardent censer directly synergizing with her kit and coin giving her 3x the gold that the other support items do, but whatever, people only care about winrates.

Janna's ult used to slow all enemies that walked in it. Janna's E used to give AD even after if the shield broke.

Most nerfed champion in LOL (it doesn't mean she doesn't need more). I'm a janna player and it is just how the changes had benefited her a lot. Tank/Assassin meta, she gets more gold (which means she gets more utility her items) and adcs being pretty scary when you don't kill them fast. She's been at 51 - 52% during long time because champions like have always been popular regardless the meta. She has always been good counter to those type of champions. At the end of season 2 or begining of season 3 she was called bad unless you were a janna main because even though she was pretty powerful back then compared to what she's now, she couldn't deal well with champions like (she still can't deal with these supports effectively), the meta had so many champions that didn't even needed to get close to kill you and or simply too bursty for Janna to have time to react properly. The changes to champions in order to add counterplay to them and the changes to the support items make her life with the introduction of shield / heaing increase passives.had made the job of Janna even more easier. Also the fact that hasn't been a pure poke meta since long time ago. English is not my first language but I do hope you could understand my point.

Poppy isn't going to use her E to push an entire enemy group back, nor is she going to use it to push someone back from a losing battle. She's not a support so she doesn't throw herself to the wolves for someone else unless absolutely necessary. It's not meant or used as a defensive ability in 90% of situations, but instead used offensively.

Lux's shield is CONDITIONALLY better and that's ONLY if she hits it going ON THEM AND BACK. It also takes up a damage spot on an immobile damage dealer. You're ignoring context completely. Also I was using the wiki's information to do my math so it should have been right regardless as they are always up to date as far as I have noticed. Just to be sure I redid my math(Dunno where I got 432 AP the last time, it's actually 384 AP) So the item combination is 384 AP. Multiply that by 0.4(40% ratio when empowered) and you get 153.6, we'll go with 153. Add 153 to 220(empowered shield base) and you get 373.

Janna E base is 280, Ardent gives 60 AP so she gets 30 extra on her shield making it 310. However she also gets another 30% increase from heal+shield power, making it 403. So it's actually even a lie to say Lux's shield strength is better than Janna's when empowered. Aside from the whole multi hit thing but that's so situational I wouldn't even count it. If you want to compare shields you should compare it to Morg's since it does a lot more than Janna's and she wasn't designed to be a support.

Janna is only as good as her team is. That is the reason for her current state. Yes of course she AFKs in lane and press E only, but the work falls to her ADC. actually doing something useful while with the shield, kiting and trading effectively. People say Janna is broken, but my win rate with her is pathetic, because for some reason, when I pick her, I'm always paired with an ADC who has 0 clue how to farm, position, freeze and trade in lane. Often going 1v2 when I'm warding or roaming.. or a top/mid who feed incredibly the enemy riven/yasuo etc - who proceed to delete my ADC no matter the peel and shields I provide. I totally agree she is VERY strong- but that's only true when she is put in a good team - thus the reason she is mainly picked with high win rate in dia +
