Morganna Or Riven

Riven is a strict toplaner..

Morgana is a midlaner/support..

I'd say morgana.. It'll pay to get good as her and be able to support as her if you ever get stuck in that role.. just remember

her shield may deny the enemy support's damage.. but it won't deny ADC damage. best person to choose her against..

Morgana is also a powerful midlaner.. and become a very powerful force.

Don't listen to the guy below me. Riven can be played jungle, she is not a strict top laner. I would know since this account sorta mains Riven currently tho I got lots of level 5 champions already and haven't even hit 30 on this smurf yet! lol....

I play Riven jungle. Riven has lost her touch at top lane and overshadowed by juggernauts and yadda yadda, so she probably is gonna lose the match ups now and days instead of just rolling over people. So take her jungle, it's much better, instant snow balling potential cause of her kit being so good, and it works out. You got the gap closers, knock ups, stuns to gank the shit out of people. It's so fun than top lane honestly.

As for Morgana, she's normally supp but can go mid too, she's pretty impactful in team fights and doesn't even need to be fed to help her team. One lock down from her is game ending for you.

Do you like supp? Get morgana, do you like being the one who fights? Get Riven and take her jungle cause that's where it's at now and days since the downfall of Riven top lane due to this patch.

Erm, that is like comparing apples to oranges. Morgana is a very good mid laner and support, while Riven is a top laner and if you play well, a jungler. They have no similarity at all.

Morgana usually gets tanky as well as dishing out massive damage. It isn't uncommon for a good Morgana to have 3k+ hp on top of near 1k ap. If Morg lands a Q on you, you are usually dead if you are alone, if you are in a teamfight, that can cripple you if followed up with her puddle, with anyone not tanky being out of the fight and even tanks lose at least a 3rd of their hp. Her weakness is she is slow and once her Q is on CD, she can be jumped on, often being killed or forced to run before her ult ends. Also Morg doesn't have to snowball to go nuts, if she farms nicely and gets a few kills on the way, she will be unstoppable.

Riven has to get fed to be worth something, but it also isn't that hard even if vastly behind to pick up a few clean up kills and get back in the game. Her power comes from her ability to outtrade any champ 1v1 and being able to escape with little damage due to her shield. It isn't uncommon for a Riven to dash into a team, 3rd Q knock up several of them then ult active them for a lot of kills or severe damage. All her abilities are on low cds which get even lower with CD reduction.

To sum it all up, Riven is vastly more aggressive, but also since she kinda has to. Morg can be aggressive but doesn't really have to be. Both are very rewarding on a team, both have good amounts of CC and utility.
