Alright, so yesterday i went ranked, enemy team surrendered because of afk player, and it didnt give me a "win" i thought alright makes sense, today however our adc vanye left the game and we surrendered before 20 minutes, and it gave me a "loss" now this is obviously stupid. Whoever thought this was a good idea had to be mentally ill.

u see the difference? your team SURRENDED and accepted the loss, so you get a lose and loses lp.

Saezio1 votesYeah it's not the same. If you have an AFK player at the 3 minute mark you get the option to /remake. If your player goes afk after the 3 mins you are fucked.
Why? To avoid cases of /remake because of ragequit. Also, you can't remake if your teammate that AFKs has already died, even if he afks before the 3 minute mark.

They summarize it pretty well, but basically if a player on your team is afk for 90 consecutive seconds prior to the 3 minute mark, your team has 1 minute to start a remake vote.
