Make Gangplank Scale off Crit Chance

Just a thought, what if Gangplank Powder Kegs or Parrrley couldn't crit but got bonus damage based on his crit chance and bonus crit damage? Something like Ashe passive. Or maybe each Barrel could have a chance to crit, with one crit triggering all subsequent Barrels critting. Melees tend to get some degree of crit certainty (Yasuo, Xin Xhao, Shaco),while casters (since Gangplank's classified a Battlemage now) are supposed to have generally consistent damage output. These changes would also provide an extra lever to balance his overall damage in a meaningful way based on how much gold he's sunk into raw damage. Trinity Force changes aside, it's always been frustrating to lose fights because a barrel chain just didn't decide to crit. Personally, I like playing bruiser GP top, and I'd like there to be some balance between full damage Midplanks and Bruiser/Tankplanks.

Dealing with crit chance is part of the gig. Even if your applying it with a spell.

Still, it may have even more problems not having his Q able to crit normally. You need to consider it's interaction with ER, Gangplank might run out of mana if his Q can't crit normally.

But the main reason of even running crit on gangplank was in part due to it's synergy with ER. And even without ER, you would still have better reliability on an earlier powerspike, if you focused Tri force.

I main GP and I got to say I like the way he is set up right now. I like the trade off of lower lows for higher highs. If I wanted consistent stuff there are amillion champs out there to play, GP is DEFINED at this point by those few barrels that crit for absolutely nasty damage. If his kit was yasuo'd you would no longer have those exciting moments of bonkers damage numbers here and there which is literally the only reason I play LoL for at this point haha.
