Pyke Q Animation Cancel

So there's an animation cancel that people have talked about with Pyke on a few videos. Ex: https://youtu.be/YIRc4IAQ6cE?t=36 Basically you are able to cast another ability during the lockout duration of your hook, I've been able to recreate this in a practice tool game, but only on the spawn platform. https://imgur.com/a/RvcyIHX I've heard a lot of different things from different sources, some people say it has been patched out of the game(I haven't seen anything on the patch notes talking about it). I've heard others say the combo is still in the game.

If anyone could shed light on this if they can do the combo, especially a Rioter I'd be grateful.
