Well, im at 4300 ip, and im slowly making my way to 6300 ip, but heres the problem. I dont't know who to buy; nami or zyra? I main support, and ive played everything from an aggressive support to a passive utility support, but im really torn between the two. Out of the two, who can offer more potential in team fights, and can play a large role from early to late game? any opinions, facts, advice, and comments would be greatly helpful! thank you!
Tough one. They're both pretty good for the entire game but yeah, Zyra is a bit more aggressive.
Personally I'd go with Nami just because you never know when you won't have an ADC that refuses to play along with Zyra's playstyle. With Nami you have a better change of meshing with randoms.
I feel the opposite way, if you're good with zyra you pretty much 1v2 the lane and all your adc has to do is farm. Since you don't really rely on your adc it's easier to play with randoms.
Nami is much more supportive, her CC is better and she has a heal but she doesn't do as much damage, therefor she's more dependant on her ADC following up on her plays.
It's pretty common that support zyra does the most damage on the team, she's a monster in teamfights.
But on the other hand, IMO the scariest support to play against is a good nami. I couldn't tell you how many times I've lost lane to a good nami. It's a lot.
I've never played Nami so I can't speak about her. Zyra is probably one of the most aggressive supports thanks to her Q and E both being CC and AOE. However, I've had games where my ADC didn't understand what Zyra could do which left me more than a little frustrated. As Zyra you want to get close to the enemy to drop your seeds (W) and then hit those seeds with an E or Q while also connecting with the enemy champion. It's great for zoning the enemy out and I've had games where my ADC and I pushed the other team back to their tower. If the ADC doesn't want to play along though, much of Zyra's utility is lost. She has no sustain and is on the slow side so if she's not landing her abilities she's asking to have a tanky support try to all-in on her.
I find playing Zyra a lot of fun, but I do agree with some of my ranked friends who say she's not top tier. They do like Nami though. But again, I've never played Nami so I have no idea how good she is.
