Her counter play is teamwork and using pink wards. Both of which are not used in low level ranked which is where a majority of your players are. She can engage with 10% health 1v3 and walk away with a triple kill and 50% HP with just ONE item. Please nerf her in some way.
You really shouldn't balance champions around lower ELO people being terrible. If you nerf Akali because Bronze players can't play against her then what do you do when you're in Diamond tier? She's worthless.
Her counter play is abusing her pre-six and having a pink on hand once she hits six to take advantage of her cool downs so that when she does go in, you can retaliate and finish her before she gets her abilities back up.
Katarina counters her hard-ish.
If you so noob you can't even CC her, just uninstall, nobody wants you anyways.
Idk, I usually just dominate her as Galio, then again, just a few of us play him.
When I see an Akali, I go Annie or Swain :). Both provides you with ranged harrass pre-6 and a rather strong counter play post-6.
With Annie, farm with your Q only to last hit (to conserve mana) and when you stacked up your stun, stun her and follow up with a W. Rinse and repeat. After 6, save your stun until she jumps you. Tibbers on her to stun, follow up with a Q, W combo and you should be fine.
Swain's E combined with Q will give you enough harass early game. Post six, W her when she jumps you, and E - Q while activating your R.
Two just popped right off my mind for counter playing Akali. Please don't ask Rito to nerf champions to YOUR convenience.

Want counterplay? Play Mordekaiser. She won't get any farm, she will die if she ever tries to engage you, and Morde is surprisingly resilient to ganks if you are playing him correctly.
Shutting down Akali without having an assassin war means you need to keep her from building items early. If you allow her to bully you in lane and then try to fight her at 6, expect her to win.
"No counter play" isn't the right statement when you aren't playing reactive. If you feel she snowballs too hard, buy MR and pots and just farm it out.

sorry but this is a case of l2p she LITERALLY has the survivability of wet toilet paper on a sandstorm if you so much as fart in her direction... yes leave her rampant and she will 100 - 0 u ....that's ...what assasins do...that's ALL they do its simple , build some magic resist , banshee veil is good and learn to cc her
and this is from an akali main akali is fine if she were sooooo broken shed be getting banned from high end play a lot more but as it is , top players know how easy she is to counter so they don't bother banning her
