When is the best time to start promos?

I've never done ranked because I'm afraid of getting trolls and having them ruin my placements. I heard there was a good/bad time to start your promos during a season due to people/trolls being in an 'abundance'. So from experience, when (during ranking season) are there the least trolls in ranked games?

P.S I understand that I will always get trolls in games no matter what time I start promos, but this is working off the "they play more often during X time in the season" theory.

P.S.S Any tips to help me with promos are welcome! Oh and sorry if I posted this in the wrong Forum/Board, never posted before.

The sooner you get them done, the more time you have to improve and climb the ladder. That said, if you're really worried about "trolls" in provisionals, then wait a week for the season start hype to die down. Honestly though, unless you plan to play ranked very causally, provisional wont have as big an impact as you might think on your end of season ranking

You might want to wait a liiiiittle while from today because of the start of a new season there will be lots of trolls and tryhards, etc.

The middle is usually a great place to start them. A few months in, is usually when most people have placed and so it gets a lot of the trouble out of the way.

Personally I start right away because I figure if my luck says I'm getting a troll game that is what I'm going to get no matter when I start. Also it gives me more time to get to the rank I want to be at.
