Main problems in Silver

Even the basics are long forgotten in this ELO, it's amazing really, you can see this mistakes from early, mid to late game even in Lobby!

Lobby:

  • No awerness of what a Team Comp is: I can't count how many times I've been in a team with out a single tank or even 4 out of 5 picks really late game champions and complain about having a really difficult early game in the 4min mark.
  • Fighting for a roll: like really? being toxic right from the get go wont get you anywhere, ever.
  • Missing trades: AP Rek Sai with clense and ignite / AD Kat with smite and flash QQ

Early Game:

  • Gank me once shame on me, Gank me twice...shame on my family: Riot has given us FREE wards, all you need to do is take into account the CD...thats it. Any descent Jungler knows that if you get an easy kill when ganking because they obviously didn't have wards or were over extending you can do another camp rotation, come back and get another kill. Wards save lifes.

  • Just saying Hi! :) : Early roams are really good...if you have kill potential, if not you are going to miss a ton of cs, xp and probably will get killed in the river if the jungler is around. I'm talking to you LVL 3 Rumble that went all the way to bott (walked, no tp)

  • What is last hitting? : "Freez lane so I can gank" pushes all the way to tower... really its that simple, last hit, poke a bit, keep your cs as good as you can. If you are pushing the lane don't expect your jungler to help but do expect the enemy to gank you.

  • You might be stronger but I believe in the heart of the cards: If you lose your first brawl, don't come back and try to fight right away, specially if they backed, got an item or/and got more xp than you, champions escale with level, that means they are stronger than when they killed you last time, you will die again...don't do that. Play safe, try to farm and wait for a gank.

Mid Game:

  • Group plz : I know I can't be the only one that notices that whenever anyone in your team says group, at least 2 of them will go out of their way to farm, either jungle or a lane, it's like you are saying "Hey the enemy is forcing a team fight, lets split up so they can kill us faster!"

  • Dragon: team focuses crab...(Q.Q) wy u do dis?

  • What is a trinket?: now with the rescent patch when you upgrade your totem you don't only get 2 yes TWO wards with a low CD for the cheap price of 250 gold, really it's like having a sightstone! why do people never upgrade?! like...I don't get it!!

  • Not everyone can be Yi: have you ever been in a team where someone is like "don't die Im going to split push" and that person is Janna Support? I have. Not every champion is good for a split push, really...I promise you will do better if you team fight than if you push with no wave clear.

I agree with everything you said except for the team comp thing. Having a tank isnt always necesarry and if you try to force someone into a champion thats tanky because "you need a tank" they'll be more useless than if you had let them play the champion theyre actually good at. The main thing in silver is simply allowing people to pick what they want, because usually they pick what theyre good at, they tend to listen when you tell them to switch and that isnt good.

You should still be able to get out of this ELO by yourself, though. Silver games can be solo carried, you just have to figure out what champions youre good at that allow you to carry a match and think of ways you can get to the point where youd be strong enough to do so. You can play snowball champions and aim to simply do just that, snowball, and you can play farm/objective/splitpush champions. Most silver players dont know how to deal with splitpushing and youll take everything while your team fights 4v5 and if they sit on a tower and just live, youll take so much while they get nothing. Its all about knowing when and what to do given a situation. Good luck in the fields of justice!

You say this as if it is odd and out of place? Watching even LCS level players on twitch the same thing happens. Often. From bronze to challenger most of these issues are common.
