After checking OP.GG it looks as though Sylas has officially been gutted. He has the lowest WR in Top, Mid, and Jungle literally the lowest WR outta all the champions and yet RIOT has no intention of doing anything until patch 9.14. While I think any reasonable individual can agree he needed nerfs 100%, I believe they've gone to far with his nerfs. Discuss.
KFCeytron3 votesSylas isn't balanceable. His ult introduces too much inconsistency. It looks like his overall kit will now be relying on stealing very powerful ults, so his base abilities are losing some power.
Phieldworker1 votesI think the direction they wanted to go was more of a bruiser rather than the aoe burst mage he became. I think why they are waiting to see how he does with the battle mage item changes. I can be wrong 100% but from changing his e shield and the two charges on his passive it definitely makes it seem like they want him in the fight longer and to sustain more while doing sustain damage.

Now he can't use his shield defensively, only offensively. The problem is that he was too reliant on the shield to survive because he doesn't have the base stats or growth of bruisers. He is too squishy and after loosing his shield defensively, it wasn't a big surprise that he lost -5% WinRate in every lane.

There is 3 new items coming to pbe, more then likely ap bruiser items, feel they wanna see the impact of those first before sylas gets buffed

Releasing those Sylas changes without any previous support was basically a stop to anyone who plays him for a whole patch or maybe even 2. Who knows...
Phieldworker1 votesYeah. A lot of times when I would watch challenger replays on Sylas, they would e in with shield to do a trade and then the second part of e they would do on minions behind to get out of the trade.

Issue is, the charge system is awkward as hell. Use a spell once for one charge. I feel like each spell (except e if it gets too strong) should grant two charges, and they should lower the minion penality as the game goes on. That minion damage hit hurts him a lot when other bruisers can clear better cuz either they have a good waveclear spell or they have tiamat. The item changes right now would maybe give him a ~1.5% increase. He needs to be able to duel with toplaners since Mid doesn't like him, so they need to gear him towards that (Every toplaner wanted a new AP toplaner before we got into this dumb burst meta because stacking too much of one type of damage actually had a counter).
