IN GAME MIC.

I would love to see an in game mic. the chat is great but a mic can improve communication. Imagine being in a team fight when you can't really type, or when you are fighting another summoner but you need help and you can't really ping. Smart pings are awesome, they can certainly help but being able to communicate by voice would be a lot better. In champion select it could help to pick a better team set up, by being able to communicate ideas faster and better. In game, you can interact more with your teammates with could improve the game. You could set up strategies, since typing out a strategy could be a hassle and time consuming. Though not everyone has the nicest attitude there can be ways to fight that. You can always mute that summoner for that match if it is really a problem. After a match you can always report summoners. A mic report can be added and his mic privileges can be removed, for example lets say someone gets reported for being toxic with a mic. That summoner can get a warning the first 2 times, and on the third one his mic will be muted for 1 game. If he/she gets reported again, the mic can be muted for 3 games and so on. Also if it is a constant problem they can ban the player for a day or two that can lead up to a permanent ban. As a console gamer that i used to be i think it has a lot of potential having an in game mic and i would love to see it implemented to the game.

They've done studies and concluded that:

  1. This increases toxicity in the game more than it increased teamwork (since now it opens up harassment based on how you sound, swearing obscenities is so much easier saying them than typing, etc.)
  2. People queuing with friends already have options for voice chat and already use those options.

The only situation I would want built in voice chat for is for premades. That's it. And most situations where I'm with a premade there are other options, such as TeamSpeak.
