Evelynn or Nocturne?

Alright here is my situation, i'm currently been playing league on and off for a year and i'm not that great and i'm not that good either or i wouldn't be in high bronze 5, low bronze 4. I wanted to identify my strengths and weaknesses. so i looked at my champion collection and saw i was the best at engage tanks and carry assassins. But assassins at the top i figured i need to learn a new one who is currently not nerfed to the ground and that works in jungle, which excludes zed, kassidan, leblanc, katarina, akail. i mostly jungle which i have the most experience in so thats why i wont mid.

The two champions that i don't have are Evelynn and Nocturne. Evelynn (going of the summary tab) offers some dmg, tankiness, utility, and mobility, while Noc offers more dmg, No tankiness, and the same amount utility and mobility, while offering cc.

I need opinions on which champion is better carry ranked games with and the least difficult so i can reach gold and get the gud border and Graves skin.

Btw if you could drop some advice on playing the champ of your opinion that would be great to!

Definitely of the opinion that you'll be able to learn Nocturne faster. He's a bit easier than Evelynn to get a hang of and he seems to match your two strengths: engaging and assassinating people.

I would look at some fansites for the best builds and follow them until you get a hang of him and can make your own more informed choices. Think both Electrocute and Dark Harvest are pretty good on him. Pretty important to focus on getting to six fast and then picking your targets for ultimate wisely.

His build is hekkan easy. I just started building him like Rengar and started to get a lot of free wins with him.

I have around 70,000 mastery in The Kitten so its nice that i dont have to change completely

He duels just as easy, and actually can beat some people rengo struggles with because of his spell shield. I generally do a build that consist of

item 3074 item 1412 item 3147 item 3142item 1001

Generally I get Tabi because once again his spell shield. And for the 6th item things like GA, and Maw are great.

I usually rush a taimat (Helps rush to 6), finish jungle item, then go Duskblade 3rd. Sometimes I will also sell my Taimat also and just buy a Deaths dance. Hope these tips help!

Yeah and evelynn's playstyle is a little strange, Nocturn's is Press R, engage for your Team, catch someoone out, ect. With evelynn your usually going to be catching people who are alone by warding properly, using predator to run to them, or by sneaking up behind them (so when you charm they walk into you) she requires a bit more planning and position where as Nocturn kind of just Pressing a couple key's in the right direction.

And to add to that, it is very easy for enemies and teammates alike to screw up the planning phase.

If i had a LP for every time someone with more mobility than me ran ahead and scared off my target before I could get into position, I'd be Challenger.

Also, Evelynn is more hated among the player base, so you tend to get flamed for getting screwed over a lot when it happens. It takes a whole heck of a lot of resilience and tenacity to main this chick.

my opinion : Dark harvest is trash atm, and close of troll. Nobody should take this atm.

Dark Harvest isn't that bad. Infact, Dark Harvest has the best scaling among the Domination Runes.

Nocturne because he has deceptive amount of survivability depending on your build and has easier time getting to his target and is easier to play in general.

Evelynn's in a really lackluster spot at the moment. Whatever she offers to the table, other junglers do better in almost every way. Nocturne on the other hand is truly unique due to his ultimate and that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his carrying power.

Yeah she still needs to have the QOL buffs she was going to get before preseason(all the changes were removed due to preseason.), and her playstyle is a lot harder to get used to, so is her clear. Nocturn is easier in general to do well with and he gives you the tools necessary to carry, evelynn requires you work a lot around her Passive and W which is a no go for an easy carry jungler, in other words, she doesn't give you a button that definitively say's "Hey, this ability is how you catch people."

Hahaha. I'm sorry. I have to post this.

No Melee champion can go toe to toe with Nocturne and live to tell the tale.

No Ranged champion can farm a lane and expect not to be zipped to in an instant.

Nocturne is a 100% counter to Evelynn in more ways than 1.

If I were not already a solid Evelynn main, I would main Nocturne. You rarely see them in Low Elo, and the ones you do see already know him in and out and are smurfing.

It is a lot easier for teammates to act along side Nocturne than it is for them to act along side Evelynn (requires less guessing on the teammate's part).

If I were you, I would go Nocturne 100% unless you take to really liking Stealth and/or melee mages.

Nocturne, eve is no longer an assassin or mage but is instead the champion that cleans up your adc's sloppy seconds.

Nocturne.

He is my carry pick for jungle but I go a wierd build with him compared to others.

Personally I don't like the assassin build because your just a suicide ulter in teamfights.

I go blood razor, frozen mallet, ravenous hydra or black cleaver, then tank items. Press the attack as well.

You are not as squishy but will still 1v1 anyone.
