Well he's either probably really fed or you're really weak / overextended or separated from your team for that to happen.

You must have been wayyyyyyyy behind him in levels, gear, etc. He's not a burst champ (unless he builds full AP...but then he blows up pretty quickly and is very susceptible to CC and has long cooldowns).

he has high ap ratios and his W does %hp damage based off of ap... at max rank its 13% hp damage +3% per 100 ap so with 200 ap isnt hard to get on him it does 19% hp damage target's maximum health not including magic pen if you get some...

i provided a screen shot of me going 18-8-19 and having over 75K damage to champs

dont need alot of ap on mao to do damage... 200 ap and he can do alot of damage while still being tanky ...
