How can I get better at mid game and late game?

I am level 13 in league and every time I start a game, my early game is really good. I usually get a lead in level because my CS is pretty good for my level I guess. I get around 1 kill, but sometimes I die when I am too risky. But soon, when everyone is around level 8-10 and im probably around 12 or 11, my midgame and late game strategy gets bad. I don't understand how to play it because I am not sure if I should go for kills? Or if I should just keep CSing for a while. So basically I just run around killing creeps and looking for enemy champions, but when I come upon one I either am unlucky and die or they are with their teammates and I get destroyed. So in the mid-late game I get destroyed and I end up being the lowest level champion ingame. How can I fix my problem? I don't really get what to do in mid-late game. I know some people just have the whole team stay together at mid, but its hard for me to get my team to stay mid. Please help thanks

Alright so how you play your mid/late game really depends on your champion.

If your playing a split pusher (Ex. Xin, Jax, basically most fighters) , or someone who just scales really hard (Any ADC), just farm. Screw the kills, Screw your team. Farm. Because at the end of the day, YOUR going to carry, so make yourself as strong as possible. Tell your team to do the same, and to ward.

If your playing a team fighter (Ex. Kennen, Malz, mages really), tell your team to group. If you're a mage and you've been farming really well and you've gotten a couple kills, you'll decimate people in team fights. Just team fight and move onto turrets or objectives.

If your an assassin (Zed, Akali, assassins duh), just go for picks. Tell your team to get deep wards and burst people when they show. Any picks should be followed by an attempt to down a turret, or an easy dragon.

If your a support (Taric, Leona, supports duh), just ward and protect your adc.

But, if you are very behind, farm. Place defensive wards and just farm.

Well what you do in the mid to late games completely depends on your role and the champ you play, so if you tell me what roles and champs you play i can help you better
