Stop Complaining About Autofill

It's like you a) weren't here before season 6 or b) forgot what it was like before season 6. You had to go into every ranked game preparing to play any of the 5 roles. There was endless conflict in champ select over who on your team would get which role. Most of the time both teams had players playing off roles.

Even if you get autofilled as much as the system allows (let's conservatively say 1/4 games, and we all know you don't get autofilled this often), guess what you get the role you want 3/4 times. This also ignores the fact that you're autofill protected in your promos.

Seriously as far as ranked games go champ select is the best it's ever been, enjoy it.

So your central argument for why we should stop complaining about autofill is because it didn't exist before last season. Interesting.

I'm sorry, I'm going to complain about something that disrupts the balance of any individual game and creates significant lopsided matches. Please don't even both by countering with "but, but, but, both sides have autofill"... just because there's a chance that either side can get autofilled doesn't make it a good system, nor should a game be determined by RNG and who has the most autofilled players.

I'd gladly wait twice the time to get a competitive game.

actually its completely different now because now you play like 50 games in ur role and 1 game when you fill.and ofc you gonna suck when you fill cause ur not warmed up for that role.before you were playing all roles equal amount so you were prepared to play any role.

Fuck no i enjoyed ranked far more with the old system

If you had to fill for something back then, chances were you had fairly occasional practice on it because of the mature of the old system

Nowadays when people are autofilled theyre playing a role they touch maybe once a month and are then pitted against someone who mains that role and you lose off that shit

Autofill is garbage and so is role selection

THANK YOU!!!!! and it's not like u can really advance in league without understanding the other roles. And u'll really only understand the other roles once you play them. Doesnt mean you have to like them, but autofill doesnt happen all that often relative to the rest

Thank you. I get into games all the time where people are mad because they got autofilled and want to AFK because of it. This could have been season 3 where you just got what you got if you were last pick because no one cared that you've never jungled lol

We once had the ability to pick our role and champion with 100% certainty. That needs to come back.

why are there STILL people who think "lower que times" is the ONLY reason for autofill... it isn't... in fact iMO its not even the most relevant reason for autofill.

in season 6 if u put secondary support.. YOU WOULD GET SUPPORT. end of story...

i am a secondary support and i got support THIRTY EIGHT games IN A ROW.

before i took support off as my secondary role.

the people who actaully were prefectly willing to to support as one of thier roles would remove it as an option becuase they never got any other role. this in turn made it worse for the remaining people.. who then left support as well and it was just a downward spiral until only the support mains were left.

with autofill i can PLAY support without getting it EVERY game...

all not having auto fill did was make it so the players WILLING to support no longer wanted to support.

Still think we should just add a 3rd role choice that only occurs if the player is in a situation that he would normally be auto-filled in. So people who don't really mind playing support can put support 3rd and not fear getting it just because of the "you que sup you always get sup" design we have now.
