So I've been playing this game for a few months and I still don't get how to build for certain situations. I usually (no flame) just use u.gg to build or op.gg. I also am wondering what settings are nice for people to play on, like should I try to play on an off-set camera (I want to try out some different camera and mouse settings). toby mcteague1 votesAlways use unlocked camera. Its invaluable to be able to freely move around ur camera to see whats going on the map.
Builds depend on matchups, whos fed, etc.
If you playing a mage mid against an AD assassin like

Now of course, builds are always flexible, and are not always set in stone.

Jhin shouldnt be able to kill you alone since you have tons if mobility to kill him.
The lowered CC duration from Mercury Treads is much more valuable if they are a CC heavy team.
Theres a lot more. Knowing what to build will come thru osmosis as you know what champions do in their kits. And what items your champion needs to output the most dmg without dying.

Don't do it, if you want to be able to excel mechanically.
My friend used to lock his camera, and what helped him break the bad habit was playing Warcraft 3.
