How does one counter Katarina using Azir? Im currently trying to make Azir my main, one of the hardest champs and I don't know how to counter katarina at all even if I don't use Azir. I once tried disabling her ult with my ult, she still manages to kill me :( also with Zed & Talon.
Azir is naturally weak to assassins. Anytime you move your soldiers is a free all in. You basically need to be able to dash away at all times if they can all in you. Positioning is just super important in those matchups, along with dodging daggers vs katarina.
On top of Azir just being weak to assassins, she's also not very strong atm. Assassins capitalize on mistakes, and mis-positioning on azir is easy vs those champs. Azir also doesn't gain any MR per level, so I'd use MR in the rune page. He starts with 30 MR and thats what he gets all game.
azir is just in a bad position in the game right now, to counter kat just bait out her q then poke but avoid standing near daggers, shes one of the weaker assassins right now honestly
if u play a mage up against an assassin u generally want to poke them out, never push lane just last hit and/or deny them of farm also make sure to back sometime between lv 5 and 6 because most assassins can half health u at six, never stop moving around in lane or else they will out trade u always

The only way to counter katarina is to ban her. She's op at the moment thx to the developers.
You don't beat her post 6, you may get lucky and beat her pre 6 but no matter what you will always lose a 1v1 situation

All 3 are literally designed to counter the type of champion Azir is.
You just have to become really good at Azir and hope they're either bad at their champion or that you can at least go even/not feed/feed only minimally.
Here's a tip: don't play Azir.
With the lethality meta everything is going to shit on Azir. On top of that he was nerfed pretty bad in the past and isn't really good right now.
