Yatsee - 3 of the worst designed abilities in the game
Do you agree?
Do you agree?
I don't know. Answering that would appear to require watching a video. If I wanted to watch videos, I'd be engaging with people on you tube instead of reading posts on a written medium.
Watched the video, the abilities were:
-Zed ult, because it's really stupid when no one has Zhonyas or QSS, but when they do it's worthless. -Kass ult, because it's flash on a very short CD. -Morde dragon ghost, because you get huge map control after he takes 1 dragon.
can you give me feedback on the video though?
I agree with Zed ult, but on the other two, I'd have to disagree.
Kass ult, while it used to be very powerful, is more like Rifthobble now, with its nerfed range. He also pays for Riftwalk's power with long cooldowns on his other abilities, and his E isn't even guaranteed to be usable when he needs it because of the stacking mechanism. Kass can't really assassinate anyone unless he gets fed, which makes him rather weak for an assassin. He also has a legendarily weak early game as well, so he can be prevented from really being able to do anything (because he doesn't have the whole "Don't go 0/5 in lane and you win post-6 deal that he used to).
Morde dragon isn't that bad either when you realize that he can't ult anyone while it's up. Yes, it gives him good objective control, but at the same time, it prevents him from being able to use the greatest source of his killing potential, so at that point killing him becomes a viable option, as his super burst (Outside of 3rd Q) isn't available.
thanks for the feedback. I am learning a lot by doing these videos and want to be as clear as possible, which I am not.
I do not think these abilities are overpowered, I just think they produce very unhealthy gameplay. What I mean by that, is that one team depends on scaling. I think that champs that just sit back and scale into late game, create for boring gameplay, which ultimately makes it unhealthy.
Kassadin's ultimate is not overpowered, and Kassadin the champion is not either. My argument is that his ultimate ability is so unique that creates a discrepancy between different champions. His ability is so unique that produces a strength in the late game, which is compensated by a lack of early game presence. His ultimate creates boring gameplay, because games are stompy no matter if Kassadin is winning or losing.
You are right that morde's ability to get drgon comes with a cost. The problem is not that it is overpowered or not, the problem is that is unhealthy because if you lose the objective, the enemy team steamrolls through your objectives. Making for very boring gameplay. I think on this point you can debate that the dragon fight becomes more exciting than in other games. Compensating for how boring it gets afterwards. My problem here is that it changes the game too much for it to be healthy.
Hopefully, ill hear back from you
