What is feeding as support?

Locking in Sona is synonymous to intentional feeding. Aside from that, use your own judgment and you can tell. If you're on a tank support, but you're squishy... If you don't have armor runes, on anyone... If you're dying repeatedly in lane 2v2 or hell even 2v1/3v2 advantage your side... These are just a few and all clear signs of feeding.
Feeding is dying unnecessarily or without purpose.
Now, everyone makes mistakes, so most people would say you need to do it a few times (say 3).
So if you're dying more than 3 times unnecessarily or without purpose, then that's feeding.
Some examples of okay deaths: Got ganked when you were going all-in because you had the kill (although you should have vision) Dying to save a carry Dying to draw attention so your team can take an objective Dying as part of a teamfight
Some examples of poor deaths: Overextending without purpose and getting ganked Overstaying in lane and dying (including to tower dives) Getting caught late game alone and dying
it depends on your support choice, team composition, and length of the game... Who do you support with?
Rule of thumb: your assists should be roughly twice your deaths for ok. 3x is good 4x is great
0/4/16 vs 0/4/8
Same as it is in other roles, except subtract the number of times you died in order to save a team member from certain death.
If you want to deliberately feed as support, just buy as many pink wards as you can and set them right in front of the enemy. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/925/494/218.png_large
There's a difference in how and why you die that draws the line between "justified death" and "feeding"
Blitz saves his carry's life by standing in front of a Cait ult? Justified death. Leona staying behind cc'ing 3 enemies and allowing the rest of her team to escape? Justified. Dying at a level 1 jungle invade? That's bad decision making.
There is no SET number but I ALWAYS try to have more assists than deaths
If your deaths are even with your assists and your ADC's kills are way higher than their own deaths you are doing your job. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
true more assists then deaths is a good way to judge it
The same as feeding for any other role: dying more than what you are providing for. It's not really set in your KDA (although a low assist count with a high amount of deaths does not bode well), but rather how and why you die. 0-14-27 Braum dying every time as he engages a winning team fight and sacrifices himself for the carries whenever needed? Not feeding. 0-5-2 Sona dying because she keeps getting caught alone? Feeding.
