General concensus on jungle Taric?

I've been using it a good bit so far this season, and I think it's a strong alternative to some common junglers you see, especially if you aren't very good at the game like me. The targeted stun is extremely useful late game when the more popular champs really get their mobility going, and all your auras and shreds power-up up your more-capable allies better than other junglers. I've always thought double-support comps were super strong too. Anyone else playing jungle Taric competitively?

Just hit Gold 3 with jungle Taric. It's pretty good!

His early game damage is very poor, I agree. For a gank to work you need a teammate who can chain CC, and who preferably has ignite. Red buff is also important. If you get counter-ganked, you get reamed pretty hard. He is able to gank at lvl 3 with full health though.

I do disagree about late game though. With max CDR you can effectively stun-lock someone, something I don't think any other champion can do besides maybe Leona. Furthermore, you're shredding 30-40 armor, giving your teammates 30-40 armor, and giving 35 AD/AP, plus a heal for 400. I think that's really significant and is some of the most reliable peeling in the game. You can duel just about anybody late game, especially if they're AD. You can catch Kalista.

Even with 40% CDR you can't stun lock, at best you can throw out a second stun about 3 seconds after the first. That is assuming you manage to auto attack between your spells. In the heavy mobility, that might prove difficult.

Taric is sadly too weak at the moment, which is sad because I love the guy. However Riot intentionally completely destroyed him. They reduced his average ratio's into a 1/3rd of what they used to be.

Imagine if Katarina's abilities were reduced to 1/3rd next patch.

I played Jungle Taric a bit, Sadly I found it ineffective. His ganks were a little too slow, and did not provide enough damage.

Late game, neither the stats nor cc he provides is sufficient.

Won my last 3 jungle rankeds with Taric! Definite strength is being able to chain CC for easy picks.
