shiv vs rfc

for the same cost shiv gives 5% more attack speed. as for the passive shiv is much stronger since it's damage can crit and is aoe. the extra range on rfc is good for poke but the crit on shiv is just so much damage that the extra range doesn't matter especially with the "long-range" champions since they have enough range to poke with aa anyways, and being the single target focus item that pd used to be (now it's a duelist item imo) doesn't apply to it either because of the shiv crit. rfc really isn't good on many champions. try rfc on rengar - it increases leap range also on ekko's e aa blink too and you go hybrid ekko with it. or crit shiv ezreal is a good one too. any how riot needs to either remove crit from shiv or add it to rfc.

I think he's referring to the on-hit damage critting

i see ... well ... rfc is designed for easier sieging turrets ... and afaik you can't crit structures again .. refered to link above "multipliers"

Shiv is fine, but rfc is weaker imo. But hey, it wasn't made to be a staple item, so no need to buff it into one.

They're meant to be niche items. If you want more wave clear, go shiv. If you want to engage a little safer or seige towers, go RFC. I usually only go Shiv if I have a low wave clear mid laner
